Conventional drain & fill methods of changing transmission fluid could only remove about one third of the transmission’s capacity. The remaining large quantity of old oxidized fluid simply contaminated the new fluid. Often the mixture caused more damage than if the old fluid had been left alone. Also, no efforts were made to chemically clean the transmission because the dissolved contaminates could not be removed.

The BG transmission service begins with a thorough chemical flush with BG 106 Quick Clean, which cleans all internal components including the valve body, the torque converter, oil galleys and clutch pack. All externally connected components are cleaned as well, including lines & coolers. Cleaning the lines and coolers is recommended by the O.E.M.’s - some of them even offer tools for this purpose.
Next - the BG system uses a very simple, but highly effective, method of removing all the old fluid and flush, while simultaneously installing new virgin A. T. F. of the exact type recommended for each and every vehicle. The BG PF5 does this cleaner, faster and more economically.
The final step is to install BG 310 Automatic Transmission Conditioner, which restores pliability to seals and prolongs life of the new A.T.F. by protecting it from the ravaging effects of oxidation.
